walt and i went walking through the botanic gardens at the end of byres road in glasgow. it was unbelievably cold, my brain started to freeze. we ate a bag of chips and wandered around the lovely warm greenhouses. the light was amazing in the early afternoon - you really noticed how much lower the sun was being up north.
